Conspiracy Against Islam

According to an Indian scholar, which means: When addressed by the ignorant ones, servants of Allâhu ta’âlâ will say Salâm and avoid them. Surah Furqan, 25, verse 63, which means: ‘When the ignorant address them, they say, ‘peace’’. Miscreants creating mischief against Islam shall be ignored. We have to use television, documentary, articles, speeches to send across right message. Agitations are not needed. It will waste our energy and time. It will bring bad reputation for Islam. It will bring huge loss. Many were killed unjustly in Assam riot[1]. Government and legal institutions should feel ashamed. But Muslims should not become outraged and cause more damage. Muslims should always bear just mentality. ‘no soul-bearing burden bears the burden of another’ (Surah Najm: 38, the Qur’ân al-karîm). One person should not be punished for the mistake of another. Neutrality should not be lost while protesting. Injustice has been meted out to Muslims. But it won’t justify burning even a single bus. It is public property. Burning it is a sin. It will create bad impression about Muslim community. We should be mindful whether our agitations are for Allâh or for our emotional outburst. Our main objective is to introduce Allâhu ta’âlâ’s message to entire humanity. A Jewish fighter spit on Imâm-i Ali’s (radiyallâhu anh) face. Imâm-i Ali (radiyallâhu anh) forgave him. Our Nafs, emotions, should not have any part even if the main cause is for Allâh. Imâm-i Ali (radiyallâhu anh) has set a very good example. We shall emulate it till the end of the world. We should have anger. But it should be against evil forces. Jealousy is good if it is to acquire knowledge. Hatred can be allowed only against basal urges. If someone hates Islam on account of your actions, you will be held responsible. This is a sin and will be certainly punished. Don’t trouble fellow citizens. ‘and cast not yourself in destruction with your hand; and be good-doers’ (2 – 195, the Qur’ân al-karîm). Don’t lead yourselves into destruction. Today we have to decide on our principle. We have no right to besmirch Islam. We should learn tolerance. We shouldn’t make confrontation our nature. We are having some ideological differences due to circumstances. But Islam’s intention is welfare for everyone. One NGO person came to me. There was a severe earthquake on that day in Haiti. This Muslim person was happy about it and expressed his optimism that next disaster will be for America. His idea is that Allâhu ta’âlâ is going via Haiti to America[2]; a pathetic thought. He was thinking in the lines of monsoon movement. I inquired him about why he wishes for calamity in America. He said that America is against development in Muslim nations[3], it is crippling democracies in some nations and thrusting war on some other nations. He was talking like Allâhu ta’âlâ has given administration of the world in America’s hands. I asked him about how many people in America are his enemies. There may be some Pentagon officers, bureaucrats, and few senators. Earthquake will be a disaster for everyone. Many innocents will die. It won’t exclude anyone. Americans have good life in this world and their life in the Hereafter looks painful. Your wish is that they should have a horrible life in this world too[4]. Our wish is that Americans should make their Hereafter also pleasant. This is our prayer. This is Islamic approach. Aggressive people plan for horrible life in both the worlds. A Muslim should pray for good life in both the worlds. Those who have achieved pleasant life here should earn good life in the Hereafter also. Those who have worked for their Hereafter should get a good life here too. Modern Jihadis[5] seek to destroy both. Some people act like they can rule the world with the help of some video footage; totally illogical scheme. Muslim community today is weak like Sahabas, Hadrat Yasir and Hadrat Sumaiya[6]. America is in strong position. This is the reality. Sahaba-i Kiram were chained and flogged cruelly. Prophet (sall-Allâhu ‘alaihi wa sallam) passed by them. He said, “Yasir! Be patient. Your place is in heaven”. Prophet (sall-Allâhu ‘alaihi wa sallam) did not seek Umar’s (radiyallâhu anh) help. He did not provoke anyone. He could have sent Hadrat Umar or Hadrat Ali to save Yasir. Forty Sahaba-i kiram were with Prophet (sall-Allâhu ‘alaihi wa sallam). He did not use hands to stop. He did not use force at that time. Prophet (sall-Allâhu ‘alaihi wa sallam) was a very strong person himself. He was a war veteran. In the thick of the battles, Sahaba-i kiram used to seek his protection and come behind him. Prophet (sall-Allâhu ‘alaihi wa sallam) used to lead from the front. Faith gives strength and courage. But still he did not use his hands to stop evil. Muslim should not be bit twice in the same burrow. Muslims today have been bitten thousand times by the same snake. Agitations are only bringing losses. Innocents are put in jails. They spend the rest of the life in prison. Evil should be stopped with hand. But prerequisite is that one who stops should not get destroyed. Films against Islam keep increasing. Evil is not subsiding. Current approach of Muslims is fostering evil forces further. Earlier Muslims used to be targeted. Now they have gone one step further and directly targeting Islam. Islam is being insulted. No one comes forward to bail out prisoners. Let us now fight against evil with tongue and heart. Let us use internet, letter communication, articles, and pleas and clarify our views. A senator in America is openly professing to dash Mecca and Medina. Another Congressman lifts Qur’an and says terrorism won’t stop as long as this book exists. Muslims are weak politically and economically. Let us not cause more insult to Islam.

Bad Tabligh (Communication) is Happening
Let us chart out our course of action on our own. Let us not allow BBC, CNN or Reuters to maneuver us. What else can we expect from a Jew. Extreme elements have severely impacted Islam’s reputation. If our full Ummat comes together to set the image right, it will take hundred years. Muslims were weak even between first and second world wars. But Islam was not targeted. Islam was seen with respect. Jihadis today don’t have any issue in hand. So they are blowing even non-issues out of proportion. This film was made many days before. But now chaos is needed. Western media captures and records violent aggressions by Jihadis. They are making a propaganda out of it. Muslims are silent. Islam is presented as a violent religion. There are more than five thousand abusive words in Salman Rushdie’s book. It has adverse, abusive remarks on venerable figures of Hindu society ‘Ram’ and ‘Krishna’ and even on Margaret Thatcher. Shivsena[7] or Nagpur Hindutva elements did not take this seriously. Muslims were provoked. Some verses in Surah Najm were not sent by Allâhu ta’âlâ (because) satan gave those verses, this is the content of the book. This makes entire Qur’ân dubious[8]. Satanic Verses echoed this[8]. But the author was given Booker Prize and gifted with rewards. Protagonist in the novel is caught in a plane crash. Rest of the story continues as part dream and part hallucination. Hundreds of Muslims were killed in the chaos that ensued. Let us use our abilities for elevation and development. Let us express our opposition to US President and ministers. But let us not politicize this. Once the protests are over, we feel relieved and relax in our homes. Good Tabligh is not happening, bad Tabligh is happening. We are sending wrong message. Osama Bin Laden is presented as Islamic revolutionary. Every child is elaborately preached about Bin Laden. Islam is cast as reflection of Bin Laden. They are shown as two sides of the same coin. Our protests should be within Islamic limits and conditions. Condemnations should strictly adhere to Islamic laws. Islam’s glory should not be allowed to wane.

Doctor Yakub Nisar’s Book
Salman Rushdie wrote a book ‘Midnight children’ that showed Nehru-Gandhi family in poor light. But Congress party[9] maintained silence. Orientalists don’t do deep researches these days. They are converting books to films. Sometimes same material takes cartoon form. Serious research and hard work that were hallmark of previous century is not visible anymore. We have already answered all previous allegations. There is no need for new answers. Research work stopped after second world war. Satanic Verses was banned in India[8]. But even after that it was sold brazenly. We don’t have follow-up mechanism. There are many books in India about 33 crore Gods. It is against our core principle. Muslims ignore it. Let us ignore these things. We shouldn’t give any importance. We can’t stop their publishing. There is a very good book ‘Nabiur Rahman’ written by Dr. Yakub Nisar. This book has been translated in twenty five languages. It has been my wish for the past two years to bring this book in Urdu and Telugu. This is a constructive idea. This book has answers for all allegations. Let us distribute good book to people. Let us keep Prophet’s esteem high through our tongue and heart.

NOTE: above-quoted information is taken from Dr. Syed Aleem Ashraf Jaisi, an Indian Islamic scholar.

In the last decades, unbelievers have been making cold war through every kind of publication and propaganda and ceaselessy attacking Islam, mainly for the purpose of misleading the young people. Muslim men should make atomic bombs, rockets, jet planes and electronic apparatuses on the one hand[10], and on the other hand they should stand against the psychological warfare conducted by unbelievers. They should teach the superiority, the uses of Islam to Muslims, to Muslim youngsters by means of books, magazines, newspapers, radios, televisions, internet and motion pictures both within the country and abroad. For doing this, they should learn both religious and scientific branches of Islamic knowledge[11]. Of old, scientific knowledge also used to be taught in Islamic madrasas. Those who want to render a service to Islam and to be able to thwart the mendacities and slanders of the enemies of Islam, should be well-learned at least in high school level knowledge and in the basic teachings of the Ahl as-Sunna today. Those who are inefficient in one of these two will be rather harmful than useful to Islam. The saying “A semi-scholar takes away one’s faith,” is well-known[12]. These should be done by men. When men work, there will be no hard labour left for women to do. In every village the State should open courses for teaching the Qur’ân, and every child, regardless of sex, should be taught the Qur’ân and the fundamental teachings of Islam. Old men and women should undertake this task. Every Muslim should send his son to high school and to a university after teaching him religious knowledge. If Muslims do not educate their children, State affairs, administrative and commanding posts, media of propaganda and executive organs will be in the hands of unbelievers and apostates. They will spread disbelief and torment Muslims. For serving Islam, it is necessary for men to graduate from the university and to study even further. Islam and disbelief conflict every day. Certainly one of them will overcome the other. The idiots who do not take part in this warfare for survival and who heedlessly sit on the fence will suffer punishment in both this world and the next. Those who help the State that fights against the enemies of Islam as much as they can, will be rewarded for jihâd in the next world. By making jihâd against the fierce, unjust unbelievers who prevent the spread of Islamic knowledge, attack Islam with their papers, radios and televisions, exploit their nations and spend all their income in their own enjoyment and amusement and in making people their slaves, we are commanded to rescue these innocent people from their talons and guide them to happiness. This order, this ’ibâda, can be done by helping the State, the army of jihâd. If it is done without the State’s permission, it is not jihâd but fitna and anarchy. Allâhu ta’âlâ helps the working people. He dislikes and does not help those who sit idly.

It was declared in a hadîth quoted in al-Bukhârî’s and Muslim’s Sahîhain and explained in Barîqa and Al-hadîqa that those who would be called Muslims would part into seventy-three groups. These groups of different beliefs cannot unite with one another. First it is necessary to unify them in belief. Those who say, “Let’s unify the various groups of Muslims,” should be sincere in that they should be unified on the truth, for only what the Ahl as-Sunna scholars have taught is true among all of them. It was declared in the Hadîth that the remaining seventy-two groups would go to Hell on account of their heretical beliefs. The unification of Muslims on the truth requires for all of them to hold the same belief, the Ahl as-Sunna i’tiqâd. For accomplishing this, we should read the books, magazines and papers writing about what the Ahl as-Sunna scholars have reported and provide them for our acquintances. We should strive hard to spread this knowledge. We should check our children every evening when they are back from school, and if the teacher sabotages their moral values and tries to undermine their religious beliefs, we should report him to the Ministry of Education and transfer them to a school with conscientious, honourable, learned teachers who are men of Allâhu ta’âlâ. We should prevent our children from being dragged on to endless perdition and we should be quite vigilent lest they should fall into the traps of the enemies of Islam. We should send our children to the teachers of the Qur’ân before they reach the school-age. We should strive to illuminate their fresh brains and pure souls with the light of the Qur’ân al-kerîm. This is the only way of raising our children as Muslims. A country can remain Muslim only if the children are brought up as Muslims. These writings constitute the ideological jihâd, and this jihâd is fard like the jihâd through warfare.

[1]: According to a newspaper’s website, Anti-Muslim violence erupted in north Assam (an Indian province) in early October between militant Bodo tribals and Muslims in which an estimated 150 Muslims have been killed so far, hundreds have been injured, mostly women and children, and around 150,000 Muslims have been made homeless.

[2]: It does not mean that it is physically moving, in fact, it is a matter of punishment. In the book, Ihya‘u ^Ulumid-Din, Imam al-Ghazaliyy said, which means: <<…places do not contain Him [Allah], nor do the directions, Earth, or heavens. He is attributed with an istiwa‘ over the ^Arsh as He said in the Qur’an, with the meaning that He willed and not as what people may delude. It is an isti’wa’ which is clear of touching, resting, holding, moving, and containment. The ^Arsh does not carry Him, but rather the ^Arsh and those who carry it are all carried by Allah’s Power, and they are subjugated to Him. He is above the ^Arsh, the heavens, and everything in status, with an aboveness that does not give Him proximity to the ^Arsh or the heavens as it does not give Him farness from Earth. He is higher in status than everything: higher in status than the ^Arsh and the heavens, as He is higher in status than Earth and the rest of the creation.>>

[3]: Rasûlullah ‘sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wa sallam’ commanded progress and improvement each day by saying, “He who has remained at the same grade on two [successive] days or has not made progress, has deceived himself.” He also declared, “Do not postpone your work to tomorrow, or else you will perish!”

[4]: Allâhu ta’âlâ declares: “Know that this worldly life is merely a sport and a pastime [involving] worldly show and competition among yourselves, as well as rivalry in wealth and children. It may be compared to those showers that help plants to grow and the planters are happy with them. But later, those plants wither away and you see them turning yellow. Soon they will be just stubble. In the Hereafter [for these kinds of worldly-minded men] there will be severe and eternal torments. But for those who have lived in the world adapting themselves to the orders of Allâhu ta’âlâ, there will be His forgiveness and approval. The era of worldly life is deceptive and temporary.” (Sûra Hadîd: 20)

[5]: Jihâd, as it is written in the books of Ahl as-sunnat scholars, means fighting under the command of the state against the disbelievers of other countries. It is not jihâd but plunder to stage pirate demonstrations and to chant slogans as “Jihâd! Jihâd!” This act of theirs has a damaging effect on our religion. See the article, - The Ideology of Khârijîs and Mischief-Makers for further detail.

[6]: Earlier believers and companions of the Prophet (sall-Allâhu ‘alaihi wa sallam).

[7]: Shiv Sena (Marathi: Śiv Senā, meaning Army of Shiv, also SS), is a political organisation in India founded on 19 June 1966 by political cartoonist Bal Thackeray, a hardliner Hindu.

[8]: According to a blog, the Calcutta Qur’an Petition: In March 1985, two Hindus, Chandmal Chopra and Sital Singh, entered a Writ Petition at the Calcutta High Court alleging that the Qur’ân al-kerîm violated Indian law because it “incites violence, disturbs public tranquility, promotes, on ground of religion, feelings of enmity, hatred and ill-will between different religious communities and insults other religions or religious beliefs and other communities of India.”

To believe in Qur’ân al-kerîm is one of the essentials of belief. It is not permissible to doubt even a single verse of Qur’ân al-Kerîm. By reading the books of eminent religious men (Islamic scholars), who love Allâhu ta’âlâ, if there is doubt, it will be removed.

Since Allâhu ta’âlâ is very merciful, no one in this world will remain without hearing His commands and orders. Allah, the Most High, has not only sent prophets, but He has also conveyed His Book (Law). The book of the Muslims is Qur’ân al-kerîm. Since Qur’ân al-kerîmcomprises all the relevant rules and orders within the previous holy books, which were sent to nations existing prior to the time of our Prophet ‘sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wa sallam’, it is the book that addresses all of mankind. In other words, Qur’ân al-kerîm is the book that leads to the truth for all men, regardless of whether they are Christians, Jews, or else.

A person who disbelieves Qur’ân al-kerîm is not a Muslim. Non-Muslims will not be released from the Hell-fire of Allâhu ta’âlâ.

Qur’ân al-kerîm is the word of Allâhu ta’âlâ. That is, every word and statement withinQur’ân al-kerîm was communicated to our Prophet ‘alaihissalam’ by Allâhu ta’âlâ. These words were communicated to our Prophet by means of wahy, i.e., through one of the great angels, Gabrail ‘alaihissalam’. Gabrail ‘alaihissalam’, disguised as a human being, read these words to our Prophet ‘alaihissalam’ and had him memorize them. Qur’ân al-kerîm came to our Prophet ‘alaihissalam’ piece by piece, chapter by chapter. As soon as our Prophet‘alaihissalam’ received the orders of Allâhu ta’âlâ, he would memorize them. Subsequently, he had his close companions memorize them, too. He also had his secretaries, some time later, write them down. Afterwards, all the chapters were brought together and Qur’ân al-kerîm was compiled into a book. Every copy of Qur’ân al-kerîm existing today is identical to every other copy of Qur’ân al-kerîm in the world. Not even one word or even one letter is different. However, the Bibles used by today’s Christians are not similar nor consistent with one another.

It is absolutely necessary to believe in every verse (every sentence) of Qur’ân al-kerîm. To disbelieve even one verse of it will definitely destroy one’s belief. The next world of an unbeliever will be unbearable.

Allâhu ta’âlâ’s commandments are not debatable. It is not permissible to interpret them with one’s own understanding, to perceive them in accordance with one’s own interest at heart. The only person who could understand Qur’ân al-kerîm was our Prophet‘’alaihi ’s-salâm’. By means of hadîth-i sherîfs, our Prophet ‘’alaihi ’s-salâm’ explained those parts of Qur’ân al-kerîm which we could not have comprehended otherwise. Moreoever, great Islamic scholars interpreted Qur’ân al-kerîm. Most of the verses in Qur’ân al-kerîm have extensive meanings. Therefore, it is not possible to express the full meaning of a verse simply by translating it word for word. It is only possible to learn the meaning of a verse from the interpretation or explanation of an authorized Islamic scholar.

There are some people who claim that Qur’ân al-kerîm is the words of our Prophet ‘alaihi ’s-salâm’. These people are undoubtedly unbelievers.

When Qur’ân al-kerîm was being sent to our Prophet ‘’alaihi ’s-salâm’, verse by verse, even the most famous Arab poets and writers of that time acknowledged their inability to compete or even write a single sentence resembling the greatness of Qur’ân al-kerîm. From that time onward, it was admitted that Qur’ân al-kerîm was a miracle. Qur’ân al-kerîm is the greatest blessing bestowed upon mankind. This is because Qur’ân al-kerîm reveals the way that will lead man, in this world and in the next, to felicity. How lucky for those who follow this path! (Please read the article, - The case with fatwâs and the Scholars of Islam for further detail.)

[9]: The Indian National Congress (abbreviated INC, and commonly known as the Congress) (Bhāratīya Rāṣṭrīya Kāṅgrēsa) is one of the two major political parties in India, the other being the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

[10]: It is stated in a hadîth-i-sherîf: “Al-Jannatu tahta zilâl-issuyûf,” which means, “Islam will subsist if we make and use effectively all sorts of weapons owned by disbelievers.” Therefore, we should study science very much and make atomic bombs, rockets, radars and missiles. Otherwise, our religion will collapse. More than fourteen hundred years after being uttered, this hadîth-i-sherîf guides us, today’s people, to the way leading to salvation. On the other hand, the hadîth-i-sherîf which states, “The religions of peoples (nations) will take after the religions of those people who govern them,” commands Muslims to work hard and become superior to disbelievers. We must digest these hadîth-i-sherîfs well and adhere to them with unswerving devotion. It is fard-i kifâya to study scientific knowledge, arts, and to try to make the most up-to date arms of war. Our religion commands us to work more than our enemies do. Then, Islâm is a dynamic religion commanding us to study science, experiment and to do positive work.

[11]: The knowledge which Muslims have to learn is called al-’ulûm al-Islâmiyya (Islamic sciences), which consist of two parts: I) al-’ulûm an-naqliyya (also called ‘religious sciences’), II) al-’ulûm al-’aqliyya (also called ‘experimental sciences’). See the article, - Go and learn knowledge, even if it is in China! for further detail.

[12]: All the scholars of the Ahl as-Sunna disapproved and prohibited speaking from one’s own angle of comparison (qiyâs) and deduction (ra’y) on Allâhu ta’âlâ’s religion.
